The second month of the Islamic year is Safar-ul-Muzaffar. There are many meanings of Safar in the literal sense, but it is accompanied by Zabra and F of Zawr. Fighting was forbidden in Al-Haram, and in the month of Safar, the Arabs would leave their homes and go out to fight, and blood would be spilled due to war, and people would be killed. From then on, this month was called zero, the month of emptying houses and increasing hunger and poverty.
This is the reason why the people of the time of ignorance used to consider the month of Safar as ominous and even after the passage of centuries, while the whole world has been completely enlightened by the light of Islam.
People still consider this month ominous. Therefore, it is considered ominous to get married, travel, build new houses, shift in them and do new business in this month. Kanazal has not been proven.
The government of the world has strongly denied any misfortune in this month. Get rid of the illusions and misconceptions about the deeds given.
In Islam, it is correct to take good omens in the name of a person or something, but it is against the Qur’an and Sunnah to use any kind of omens and bad omens, because in any nation, the cause of omens is its bad deeds. Allah sent down the torment of famine. They declared Hazrat Saleh as unlucky and said that since you have come, torment has been imposed on us. This is all your misfortune. Because of your misdeeds.
In the Holy Qur’an, the torment of Hazrat Saleh’s people is described in such words that the people were destroyed by a fierce wind which Allah imposed on them for seven nights and eight days (Surah Al-Haaqqa). In fact, it was due to their deeds. That is why the Beloved of Allah used to take good omens from something but did not take bad omens. On the contrary, he declared omens as a great sin like polytheism.
Hazrat Urwah bin Amir Qureshi (may Allah be pleased with him) said that when bad omens were mentioned before the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him), he said: The best thing is to take good fortune.
Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that whenever the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to go on a journey, he would like to hear him say, “Yaarshad, O you who are on the straight path, There were those who said that good fortune brings happiness and peace of mind and they disliked bad omens because they were polytheistic.
That is why the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: The person who takes bad omens is not one of us.
On one occasion, Sarkar said, “No one is safe from three things: malice, envy and suspicion. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Then what shall we do? Don’t start researching.
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Jabir (RA) that I heard the Holy Prophet (SAW) say that there is no disease in zero, no evil, no ghost and no devil. It has been narrated from Hazrat Ali (RA) that There is no sickness, nor is it a month of sixty days, and whoever disobeys Allah will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise.
These hadiths prove that it is permissible to get married, travel and start a new business this month as well as other months of the year.
It is mentioned in the books of history and books of hadith that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) migrated from Makkah to Madinah on the 27th of Safar in the same month. His journey proved to be the beginning of the domination of Islam and the establishment of the Islamic state, which proved that if traveling in the month of Safar was inauspicious or caused any harm, then the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, would never have made this In which he was blessed to be with Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA).
In the sight of Allah, no day or month is unlucky. Similarly, in the year 2 AH of the month of Safar, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) married Syedna Maula Ali (RA) and Hazrat Fatima (RA), the Lady of Paradise. The witnesses were Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA) and Hazrat Umar (RA).
It is also Sunnah for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to perform this marriage in the month of Safar.
Jalil-ul-Qadra saints passed away in the month of Safar and the aas of these Sufis are also celebrated frequently in this holy month. May Allah help us to remember Him as much as possible in these holy days and save us from these superstitions and grant us an understanding of Islam. (Amen)
