Islamabad (Urdu Point News Latest – NNI. 02 February 2021) Under the auspices of Islamabad Netball Association in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day netball exhibition match will be played on 5 February at Oxford Grammar School Islamabad, Islamabad Netball Association Secretary of the Association Javed Nawaz Bangash said that preparations for the match are in full swing and the exhibition match will be played between Islamabad Green and Islamabad White women’s teams.

 

Prizes will be distributed among the winners at the end of the match, he said, adding that the Islamabad Netball Association organizes women’s netball every year on February 5 to show solidarity with the Kashmiri people.

Organized by Pakistan Sports Welfare Association under the auspices of SOA and in collaboration with Agriculture University, SSB Kashmir Cup Basketball Tournament will start in Agricultural University . Universities, colleges, clubs and districts of Sindh can participate. Teams wishing to participate have been directed to confirm their participation by February 2 to Anwar Hussain  Director Sports Agricultural University. Meanwhile, Chief Organizer of the tournament Ghulam Muhammad Khan OA Secretary Ahmed Ali Rajput expressed his heartfelt gratitude for his full cooperation in organizing the tournament and at the end of the tournament he will be given the Hassan Award by the Organizing Committee.

Second practice session of Rawalpindi, Pakistan and South 

Pakistan and South Africa held their second practice session at  Cricket Stadium before the second Test match. Both the teams practiced bowling, batting and fielding separately. Both the teams had a three hour long practice session at Cricket Stadium.

 

After the practice session, the Pakistan and South African teams were shifted from Cricket Stadium to a private hotel in Islamabad under tight security. Before the Rawalpindi Test, both the teams will have a practice session at the stadium on the last day today. The second Test between Pakistan and South Africa will be played at theCricket Stadium from February 4.

National Junior Badminton Champion Omar Jahangir of Khyber

Omar Jahangir of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa won the National Junior Badminton Championship. Alja Tariq of Balochistan defeated Hadiqa Aftab of Punjab in the Under-19 Girls Final to win the National Junior Badminton Championship. Zain Bajwa of Punjab in U-15 and Rai Abdul Manane of Army in U-17 won the title. In the final of category, Army’s Abdul Manan defeated Punjab’s final, Punjab’s Zain Bajwa defeated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Fahad Khan by 21 runs. In the women’s doubles, Samia Tariq of Pakistan Army and Alja Tariq of Balochistan won gold medals by defeating Imam Usman and Dina Shehzadi of the Army by 21-15 and 2110 respectively. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Afnan Khan and Hamza Khan clinched the trophy with KP’s Omar Jahangir and Mohammad Ziad Kohrakar.

Return flights from Saudi Arabia will not be affected, 

PIA says
 

Prior to the ban, PIA flights will run as usual from Sialkot to Dammam, Multan to Madinah and Islamabad to Riyadh, a PIA spokesman said.

 

Salamabad Following the ban imposed by Saudi Arabia, PIA has issued an explanatory statement for Pakistani travelers. According to media reports, a PIA spokesman clarified that the return flight schedule from Saudi Arabia would not be affected. It was informed that before the ban was imposed, PIA flights would run as usual from Sialkot to Dammam, Multan to Madinah and Islamabad to Riyadh.

According to PIA spokesman Abdullah Khan, two PIA flights from Karachi to Jeddah and Lahore to Madinah are still in operation. Passengers will not be able to travel from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia after the ban. He further said that PIA’s Saudi Arabia operation would continue for the convenience of the passengers.

Flights will be continued to bring back passengers from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan.

 

According to a PIA spokesperson, the bookings of passengers who had bookings on Pakistan-Saudi Arabia flights are being postponed till the ban is lifted. As soon as the ban is lifted, all bookings will be restored on the first flights. He requested all the passengers to keep in touch with the PIA administration for further information or change of booking and to register their correct numbers for timely provision of information by PIA.

It should be noted that Saudi Arabia has temporarily banned the entry of foreign nationals from 20 countries. According to the foreign news agency, the ban has been imposed temporarily by the Saudi authorities, which will take effect on Wednesday, February 3, from 9 pm France, Lebanon, Egypt, India and Japan. Citizens of Pakistan have also been barred from entering the country. According to Saudi media, the ban will apply to ordinary foreign nationals and their families, including health professionals and diplomats.
